It is a great pleasure for Berkeley Pharma Tech to introduce our speaker, Jasmine Larrick, who is going to talk to us about how to successfully apply to medical school!
This is a subject in which we are all deeply interested because her talk will give us the necessary guidance to navigate this complex and competitive process. Our speaker earned an MCAT score in the 99th percentile, and has been accepted to four MD-PhD programs, three of which were full-ride scholarships (aka Medical Scientist Training Program or MSTP).
She is a Bay Area native who attended UC Berkeley for undergraduate studies in Biochemistry and Anthropology. Her interests are in immunology and infectious disease. She researched flaviviruses at the Harris Lab at UC Berkeley, and is currently conducting research at the Sheppard lab at UCSF on a cancer immunotherapy antibody. In her free time she also enjoys doing educational advocacy in the East Bay.

Berkeley Pharma Tech is hosting our fourth Bi-Annual Medical Research Conference. We are excited to introduce our keynote speaker, Dr. James Larrick, M.D., Ph.D. from Panorama Research Institute. He is a graduate from Duke and Stanford. Attendees can read his bio here.
The theme for the conference will be Gene and Cell Therapy. Attendees can attend multiple medical research presentations that capture their interest. Our conference will lead off at 9:00 AM PST with a Keynote Speech on the current advances in medicine.
The Medical Research Teams will be presenting on the following topics:
Gene therapy for cardiac tissue regeneration following ischemic injury
Gene therapy for the reversal of symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
